The Research Process

At Summit we strongly believe that Executive Search means precisely that, a purist ‘Search for Executives’. We do not therefore rely on a database of previous candidates to fill an important Client vacancy; each job is different and our candidate records are only used as an additional sourcing tool. To ensure the successful delivery of each assignment, we use a dedicated team of (multi-lingual) Researchers who specialise in different industry sectors. These Researchers work in conjunction with the Lead Consultant to meticulously network the target market and gather up-to-date intelligence. This is a crucial part of the process that requires a well thought out and focused approach where a high level of professionalism is required at all times.

The Lead Consultant works closely with the Researchers throughout the identification and approach phase, in order to cultivate a relationship with potential candidates from the very beginning. This, we believe, is a crucial factor later on in the process as it takes time to build trust and rapport.
