Having completed all appropriate research and screened
the potential candidates, the Lead Consultant will then
arrange a formal interview. The only way that a person’s ‘technical’ ability
and ‘culture fit’ can be properly assessed
is through the skills of the interviewer. More and more,
Competency Based Interviewing is required to ‘drill
down’ on a candidate’s suitability for a specific
role. Additional questioning is also required to move candidates
out of their ‘comfort zones’. Once removed
from the relative safety of a purely biographical interview,
a far more realistic psychometric profile becomes apparent.
This interview can be complemented with psychometric or
other assessment tests with prior agreement from the Client.
Throughout the assessment process, Clients are kept fully
informed (at the very least on a weekly basis) as to the
progress of the assignment.
