To be an effective leader a person needs to have finely honed 'soft' skills; these cannot be found by merely scanning a physical CV. The only way that these skills can be assessed is through the skills of the interviewer. More and more, Competency Based Interviewing is required to 'drill down' on a candidate's suitability for a specific role. Additional questioning is also required to move candidates out of their 'comfort zones'. Once removed from the relative comfort (in our opinion) of a purely biographical interview, a far more realistic psychometric profile becomes apparent. This is where Summit considers itself different from other Search firms and this is where significant value added is derived for the hiring client.
